Since then, I\u2019ve been testing the feed &#8211; and I\u2019m happy to report it\u2019s working well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While I initially used a mobile RSS reader, I\u2019ve since set up a Microsoft Teams workflow to receive notifications directly in a Teams channel. I\u2019ve also tested the feed using Inoreader on the web. Both approaches have been effective, but I made a few improvements last week to enhance formatting and compatibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"callout-warning\">\u26a0\ufe0f Due to the formatting improvements I\u2019ve made to the RSS feed, the default Teams workflow needs a few tweaks to display updates correctly.<br>If you&#8217;re curious about the formatting enhancements I&#8217;ve made to the RSS feed, keep reading below.<br>If you&#8217;d rather skip straight to the workflow setup and required changes, check out the step-by-step guide at the bottom of this post:<br><a href=\"#how-to-create-workflow\">How to configure a workflow in Microsoft Teams to post RSS updates<\/a><br><a href=\"#html-fixing-in-workflow\">How to fix html formatting in a new or existing Workflow<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"formatting-enhancement\"><strong>Formatting enhancement<\/strong> &#8211; Preserving HTML tags in the feed<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I noticed that HTML tags were being stripped out from the feed, resulting in poor formatted output in RSS readers. For example, in Inoreader and Microsoft Teams, the feed content appeared as plain text without proper structure or emphasis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To fix this, I updated the feed generation process to preserve HTML tags. The result? Much better formatting in RSS readers like Inoreader. When adding it to an existing Microsoft Teams channel, a message appears stating: &#8220;<strong>Office 365 Connectors within Teams will be retired soon. The Workflows app provides similar functionality with more scalability and security<\/strong>&#8220;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"606\" height=\"762\" src=\"https:\/\/ricardomoinhos.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/img_68f8f34643cd6.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15012\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ricardomoinhos.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/img_68f8f34643cd6.png 606w, https:\/\/ricardomoinhos.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/img_68f8f34643cd6-239x300.png 239w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 606px) 100vw, 606px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>At this point, I don&#8217;t thing it makes sense to use the Microsoft RSS app &#8211; so after a few tests, I found a workaround to get it working properly using the <strong>Workflows <\/strong>app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Workaround: Using Markdown in Workflows<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To address the formatting issue in the Workflows app, I found a workaround: converting HTML tags to Markdown. You can either create a workflow to post the feed to a channel or to chat.
